Kisii County is headquartered in Kisii, and comprises of the following sub-counties; Bobasi, Bomachoge Borabu, Bomachoge Chache, Bonchari, Kitutu Chache North, Kitutu Chache South, Nyaribari Chache, Nyaribari Masaba, South Mugirango and its neighbouring counties are Nyamira, Narok, Homa Bay, Migori. Kisii main economic activities are Tea, coffee, bananas, dairy, soapstone mining, commerce.

About Kisii County

Kisii County is located in southwestern Kenya, bordering Nyamira, Narok, Migori and Homa Bay counties. Kisii Town serves as the county headquarters. Fertile volcanic soils, rolling hills and abundant rainfall support tea, coffee, bananas, dairy farming and horticulture. The population is predominantly Abagusii, known for their entrepreneurial culture and emphasis on education. Soapstone carving, trade and financial services contribute to the local economy.
